Lyndon State Bank

Lyndon State Bank

Lyndon State Bank is celebrating our 117th birthday this month.  117 years ago, Lyndon State Bank was issued our official State Charter.  The business began with $10,000 capital stock and was located in a brick building on the southwest corner of 6th Street and Topeka Ave.  The bank opened its doors on September 5, 1901.  Within a month of that date there were total deposits of $1,486.84 and loans totaling $5,509.12.  The bank moved to 618 Topeka Avenue in 1903 and remained there until the current building was erected in 1978.  Lyndon State Bank opened the historic Melvern Branch in 1988 and acquired the Topeka Branch in 2001.  We have withstood the test of time, through depressions, recessions, good times and bad.  There have been dramatic changes to banking in the last 117 years. We have grown with the times with various technology changes and now mobile banking, e-statements, remote deposit, and Peer to Peer, just to name a few!  We have delivered hometown banking to Osage County and beyond for 117 years.  We thank our loyal customers and our communities for their continued patronage and support.  Without you we wouldn’t have made it 117 years!  Lyndon State Bank is “Big Enough To Serve, Small Enough To Care”.
